First post on my new blog!

Here's a sad looking orphaned little table I purchased from a lovely gentleman on Kijiji...for a whole ten dollars...before and after pics to follow.

I used a little Gorilla Glue and clamps for a couple of hours... MUCH sturdier now!

I stripped the top with Minwax Paint and Varnish Remover...nice gel...works quickly! Then I sanded lightly, and stained it with three coats of Minwax Vermont Maple waterbased wood stain...such BEAUTIFUL grain.

I primed with Zinsser Spray Bin, then painted with Krylon Indoor Outdoor Blue Ocean Breeze (also a spray). After distressing with Benjamin Moore Clear Glaze mixed with a little black acrylic paint, I sealed everything with Minwax Polycrylic satin.

Here's a closeup of all her chippy goodness.

I was so happy with the way this little table turned out that I decided to apply the same finish to a set of frames that hold pencil sketches I picked up in Paris last year. These are already on the wall; not sure whether they show up well here. Now this little table and the set of frames are all in my guest bathroom...looking OH-so-pretty!

Thank you SO MUCH for stopping by my brand new blog today!
I'm linking to the following parties; there's SO much to remember, hoping I'm doing it correctly:

  13. Hi, friend! Newest follower :) You've got so much creativity going on in your blog so can
you please share them with us at the Creative Bloggers' Party & Hop?

This is a combination of linky party (where we can show off our creations) and of blog hop (where we can follow as many excellent bloggers as we like), hence the name Creative Bloggers' Party & Hop. It's a great way to meet awesome creative bloggers like you and increase your followers in the process.

All you have to do is 1) link up whatever creative post you'd like to share - can be a DIY project, decor, photography, crafts, recipes, poem, thrift finds, tips, or that informative syndicated post that can make us laugh, or cry - in short, whatever you're proud of! 2) Then follow as many blogs as your heart desires, preferably starting first with the one before you and after you, and leave a comment to them that you're doing so.

You’re not required to include the party button but if you’re so inclined to display it in your blog or your post, you’re very much welcome to
    do so :)
